India won the T20 series against West Indies

T20 Series: India won the 5-match T20I series against West Indies. Team India defeated West Indies by 59 runs in the fourth match of the series played at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Lauderhill, Florida in the United States. In this way he took an unassailable 3-1 lead in the series. The last and fifth T20 match of the series is to be played on 7 August 2022 at 8 pm (Indian time) at this ground.

West Indies won the toss and decided to bowl. Team India scored 191 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. Chasing the target, West Indies could only manage 132 runs in 19.1 overs. Earlier the toss was delayed due to bad weather and rain. Prior to this match, Team India was ahead 2-1 in the T20 series.

Rishabh Pant played the highest innings of 44 runs for India. Captain Rohit Sharma scored 33 and Sanju Samson scored 30 runs. Captain Nicholas Pooran and Rovman Powell scored the highest 24-24 runs for the West Indies. Arshdeep Singh took 3 wickets for India. Avesh Khan, Axar Patel and Ravi Bishnoi took two wickets each.

Team India started the T20 series by defeating West Indies in the first match played in St. Kitts. West Indies had leveled the series 1-1 by winning the second T20I. India took a 2-1 lead after winning the third T20I.

An all-rounder in the form of Axar Patel was selected for this match along with 6 specialist batsmen in the Indian XI. Harshal Patel, who was suffering from injury, could not be a part of the playing XI. Nicholas Pooran tried to take advantage of the moisture on the pitch due to rain, but he could not succeed due to the stormy innings of Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson and Axar Patel.
