New Delhi. The country’s most wanted terrorist Dawood Ibrahim’s ancestral home will soon be converted into a Sanatan school. Underworld Dawood’s luxurious house is located in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra. Actually, this property has been bought by a lawyer named Ajay Srivastava in an auction conducted under the Smugglers and Foreign Exchange Manipulators Act. During a conversation with a Marathi news channel, lawyer Srivastava said that I have decided to convert this bungalow into a Sanatan school.
On the question why did he take this decision? Lawyer Srivastava says, “Dawood promoted madrassas a lot while living here. I want that now his own ancestral home should be converted into a Sanatan school.’ He says that Dawood is currently living a comfortable life in Pakistan. Srivastava had bought two different properties of the gangster at auction last year.
Dawood Ibrahim lived here during the 1980s. Until much later, one of his four sisters lived in this bungalow. But later his family shifted elsewhere. Dawood’s family had stopped coming here when his father Ibrahim Kaskar’s job was taken up with the Mumbai Police.
Dawood Ibrahim emerged as the most wanted terrorist after the 1993 Mumbai blasts. In 2003, the US declared Dawood a Specially Designated Global Terrorist. Pakistan acknowledged Dawood’s presence here for the first time last year. In fact, Pakistan has been continuously denying Dawood’s presence here. But when global sanctions were imposed on 88 terrorist groups and their leaders, including Dawood, Pakistan had to acknowledge its presence.
India is constantly asking Pakistan to handover Dawood so that he can be tried for serious crimes like the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts. According to reports, the underworld don is in Karachi’s South Port City. Buyer’s lawyer declares, ‘I will convert it into Sanatan School’
