There was going to be a collision of two planes then…?

New Delhi: A few days ago, two planes were saved from colliding at the Dubai airport, now investigation is being done about the same. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has asked the UAE’s aviation regulator to share the investigation report into the January 9 incident in which two Emirates Airline passenger planes coming to India had survived a collision at the Dubai airport.

In that incident, both the planes came on the same runway while taking off from the airport. The DGCA has asked the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) of the UAE to share the report of its investigation into the incident.

DGCA chief Arun Kumar said, “Both are aircraft registered with them and the incident took place at their airport, so according to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) the incident will also be investigated by them.”

He said, “However, we have asked them to share the investigation report.” These aircraft were Dubai-Hyderabad flight number EK-524 and Dubai-Bengaluru flight number EK-568. The EK-524 was ready to take off when another plane landed on the same runway.

In this situation, the air traffic controller stopped the EK-524 from taking off. Sources said that EK-524 was to take off at 9.45 pm while EK-568 was scheduled to take off at 9.50 pm.
