Jaish-e-Mohammed’s Kashmir Tiger claimed responsibility for the attack


Srinagar. Two policemen were martyred and 12 others were injured in a terrorist attack on a bus carrying Jammu and Kashmir armed policemen on the outskirts of Srinagar on Monday. A police officer gave this information. The police have registered a case and started searching for the terrorists.

On the Srinagar terror attack, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir, Vijay Kumar said, “25 of our policemen were going from Srinagar to Jewan in a bus after finishing duty this evening, on the way to Pantha Chowk at 6:30 pm. Taking advantage of the darkness, three terrorists fired indiscriminately on the vehicle. In this 14 of our policemen were injured.”

He further said, “Our men retaliated in which one terrorist has been shot but he has managed to escape. 2 jawans were martyred and 12 people are out of danger, who are being treated at the nearest hospital. Jaish-e-Mohammed’s Kashmir Tiger has claimed attack, we will kill this group soon.”

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also expressed condolences to the families of the martyred security personnel while seeking information about the incident. A statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office said, “PM Narendra Modi has sought information about the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir. He has also expressed condolences to the families of the security personnel who were martyred in the attack.

On the other hand, the police have registered a case in this regard under relevant sections of the law and the officials are trying to understand the circumstances which lead to such terror attack.
