Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor. Huge wall paintings depicting the art and cultural heritage of Banaras have been made to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is coming on Monday to dedicate the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor to the people, and several buildings have been illuminated near the Kashi Vishwanath temple site. After this, PM Modi will see Ganga ‘Aarti’ and celebrations at the ghats of Varanasi.
According to the PMO, 23 buildings will be inaugurated in the first phase of the project. These buildings will provide many facilities to the pilgrims including Facilitation Centre, Vedic Centre, Mumukshu Bhawan, Bhogshala, City Museum and Food Court. This project is spread over a vast area of about five lakh square feet, whereas earlier this complex was limited to about 3,000 square feet. Despite the Kovid-19 global pandemic, the project work was completed on time. The main program will be the inauguration of the first phase of Kashi Vishwanath Dham, built at a cost of about Rs 339 crore.
Prime Minister Modi will dedicate the ambitious Kashi Vishwanath Corridor to the people after offering prayers at the ancient temple that attracts a large number of tourists from India and abroad. To prepare for this event, till late Sunday night, construction workers were busy polishing stones, workers decorated the temple premises especially with marigold flowers and workers were busy making all arrangements to prepare Lalita Ghat. In view of this program, police security has been increased in Varanasi.
A ‘Shiv procession’ was taken out on the streets near Godoliya Chowk due to enthusiasm about the inaugural ceremony called ‘Divya Kashi, Bhavya Kashi’. Many hotel owners in the area have illuminated their hotels. A hotel owner said, “It is a historic moment for Kashi and we are fortunate to be a part of it.” Employees and other workers of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust at the temple site are eagerly waiting for Monday.
BJP officials told that the Prime Minister is going to stay in Varanasi for two days. On the first day, he will first reach Lalita Ghat after worshiping Baba Kal Bhairav, from there he will reach Baba Vishwanath Dham. After the program, he will attend Ganga Aarti along with all the Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers.
According to BJP officials, on the second day of his stay, the Prime Minister will interact with the Chief Ministers who have come from across the country. After that, the Prime Minister will participate in the annual function program of the Swarved temple located in Umrah, Varanasi. The Prime Minister will also address the people present here.
