PM Modi to lay foundation stone of Ayodhya airport in first week of January


Ayodhya: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of the proposed Shri Ram International Airport in the first week of January. State Civil Aviation Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi has instructed to complete the preparations for laying the foundation stone by the last week of December by holding a meeting with the departmental officers.

Nandi reviewed the construction and development work of other airports including Ayodhya with the officials of the Civil Aviation Department in his office at Vidhan Bhawan. He has also directed the officers to make preparations for the inauguration of Aligarh, Moradabad, Azamgarh, Shravasti and Chitrakoot airports. Preparations are being made to inaugurate these airports with the foundation stone laying of Ayodhya airport. Officials said that 351 acres of land earmarked for the first phase of the International Airport in Ayodhya has been acquired.

Officials said that the airline has started from Kushinagar International Airport to Delhi. Soon the airline for Kolkata and Mumbai will also be started from here. The work of the runway of Chitrakoot airport being developed under RCS has been completed. The process of licensing this airport has been taken forward. Minister Nandi directed to expedite the work of new terminal building of Kanpur Airport. Information has been given about the completion of Moradabad airport.
