Meloni lashes out at Trump( Meloni )

Italy: A bitter war of words has erupted between Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and US President Donald Trump. Trump recently met Meloni at the G-7 summit held in the French city of Biarritz. However, Trump has now made a bizarre claim regarding this meeting, stating that Meloni  ( Meloni )  was begging to have her photo taken with him. Meloni has dismissed this claim as completely baseless.

What did Trump say?
US President Donald Trump mocked Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, stating, “Meloni begged me to take a photo with her. She was desperate to get a picture with me. I wouldn’t normally do that, but I felt sorry for her.”

How did Giorgia Meloni respond?
Responding to Trump’s statement, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said, “There are some things that require an immediate response. Donald Trump’s statement is completely fabricated. I am truly shocked and dismayed. I do not understand why US President Donald Trump treats his allies this way. This is not the first time it has happened. All I can say is that it is regrettable he does not show the same firmness towards the enemies of the West and the US, whereas he adopts a much softer stance towards other leaders. But he should remember one thing: Italy and I never grovel or beg before anyone.” Italian Foreign Minister Cancels US Visit
The controversy surrounding remarks made by Donald Trump about Giorgia Meloni has escalated to the point where Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani has cancelled his visit to the United States. According to reports, Tajani was scheduled to travel to the US later this week. He has described Trump’s statement as serious and offensive.
