Trump Warns Iran After Alleged Attack on US Warships in Strait of Hormuz

International: Donald Trump has claimed that three American naval destroyers came under attack while passing through the Strait of Hormuz, escalating tensions between the United States and Iran. According to Trump, the US warships were not damaged during the incident.

In a statement posted on social media, Trump said the three US destroyers successfully crossed the Strait of Hormuz despite coming under fire. He further claimed that Iranian attackers operating small boats suffered heavy losses in the retaliatory action carried out by US forces. However, these claims have not yet been independently verified.

Trump also issued a strong warning to Iran, stating that the United States would take even harsher military action if Tehran does not move toward an agreement soon. He repeated Washington’s long-standing position that Iran would never be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons.

The former president said the three warships would rejoin ongoing US naval operations in the region, which he described as a “steel wall” aimed at protecting maritime routes and American interests in the Middle East.
