Washington: US President Donald Trump has made a big announcement saying that good news regarding the second round of talks w    (taken )  ith Iran can come by Friday. Peace talks appear to be a possibility again within the next 36 to 72 hours. It is possible.

‘Iran has not taken the decision’
Apart from Trump’s statement, Iran said that it has not yet decided whether it will join the new round of talks with America or not. “We started the talks with good intentions and seriousness, but the negotiating side (the US) has shown disregard and lack of goodwill,” said Ismail Bagai, an Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman. “Iran has not yet decided whether it will take part in the new round of peace talks scheduled with the US this weekend,” he said.

Trump extended ceasefire

Meanwhile, an Iranian diplomat said that as a precondition for any further ceasefire talks in Islamabad, the US would have to end its blockade of Iran. The head of the Iranian mission in Egypt, Mujtaba Ferdousi Pour, told The Associated Press that talks were ongoing with Pakistani mediators to implement Iran’s terms. “We will not hold talks amid threats. We will not go to Islamabad before the blockade is lifted,” he said. Ferdowsi accused America of using the ceasefire to mobilize forces against Iran. He said that behind the scenes he says one thing, but in public he says and does something else.
