Iran Blocks Strait of Hormuz Once Again( Hormuz) 

Tehran: According to Iran’s state-run media, the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), the two-week ceasefire agreed upon between the U.S. and Iran in West Asia is now in jeopardy. Reports suggest that Tehran has decided to once again block the strategic Strait of Hormuz   ( Hormuz)  in response to fierce Israeli attacks against Hezbollah in Lebanon. Meanwhile, U.S. President Trump has stated that Hezbollah was not included as part of the ceasefire deal.

What Did Iran Do?
Following the Israeli attacks on Lebanon, Iran has halted the movement of oil tankers through the strategic waterway, thereby fueling fresh concerns regarding global energy supply routes. Despite the ceasefire agreement announced by President Trump on Tuesday, Israel has continued its military operations in Lebanon. According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, at least 112 people have been killed and over 800 injured in the Israeli attacks.

Attacks on Hezbollah Strongholds
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) also confirmed that the attacks were part of a major, coordinated operation aimed at targeting Hezbollah’s infrastructure. In a statement shared on Telegram, the IDF stated that it had carried out its largest coordinated strike since the commencement of Operation “Roaring Lion,” targeting over 100 Hezbollah command centers and military sites across Beirut, the Beqaa Valley, and southern Lebanon. Attacks Based on Precise Intelligence
IDF Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, stated, “We will continue to strike the Hezbollah terrorist organization and will utilize every operational opportunity. We will make no compromises regarding the security of the people of northern Israel. We will continue to strike with unwavering determination.” According to the IDF, the targets included an intelligence command center, a headquarters used for planning attacks, and infrastructure linked to Hezbollah’s missile and naval capabilities, as well as assets belonging to its elite Radwan Force and aerial units. The military stated that the operation was based on precise intelligence and had been planned over several weeks.

Israeli Strikes to Continue
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that the Israeli military will continue its strikes in southern Lebanon with the aim of eliminating the threat posed by Hezbollah. A statement from Netanyahu’s office read, “Israel supports President Trump’s decision to halt strikes against Iran for two weeks, provided that Iran immediately reopens the straits and ceases all attacks against the United States, Israel, and countries in the region.”
