37% of the population in Pakistan goes hungry

Balochistan: The economic condition of Pakistan, which harbors terrorism, is getting worse day by day. People are not even able to fulfill their daily needs. In Balochistan Legislative Assembly, the President of the Women’s Parliament Forum, Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi, while disclosing this, expressed concern over the future. He said that at least 37 percent of the population of Pakistan is suffering from malnutrition while in Balochistan this proportion has reached almost 50 percent.
A nutrition survey has revealed that more than a third of children in Pakistan are malnourished. Most of these children are from Sindh and Balochistan provinces. Not only this, the situation is becoming more difficult day by day.

Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi told that the World Health Organization is helping Balochistan with the help of this crisis and with the help of WHO a center is also being set up in Balochistan for the care of children suffering from malnutrition. He told that the situation in Pakistan is very difficult at this time. About 37 percent of the population of Pakistan is not getting proper food.

Dr. Buledi said that the biggest reason for malnutrition here is poverty and lack of resources. Here people are neither getting work nor do they have concrete work for livelihood. According to the United Nations, about 500,000 people faced a food emergency in Pakistan’s Balochistan province in July.

He said that at present an estimated five lakh people in Pakistan are facing food crisis or emergency level. Apart from this, about 100,000 people in the country are in urgent need of life saving assistance. He said that due to drought and lack of water, crops are also getting completely ruined. There is also a shortage of livestock due to lack of agriculture.

If we talk about Sindh province of Pakistan, then it is struggling with basic aids like drinking water, education, medicine. At present, Thar district is most affected by all these problems. According to media reports, at present, people in Thar district of Sindh province are also struggling a lot to get clean drinking water.
