Tehran: Just hours after Israel warned of an intensification of its campaign against Tehran, a fierce attack has been launched against Iran’s nuclear facilities. Iran’s state media has reported that severe attacks were carried out against its nuclear plants. According to the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI)—as reported by IRNA—a heavy-water plant and a yellowcake production facility were targeted. Following the attack on the nuclear facilities, the IRGC i (IRGC ) ssued a statement urging individuals working at American and Israeli industrial companies to immediately vacate their workplaces. Iran has begun preparations for retaliatory strikes against these sites.
Aerospace Force Commander Issues Threat
In the wake of the attack, Brigadier General Seyyed Majid Mousavi, Commander of the Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), posted on X (formerly Twitter): “You have tested us before; the world has once again witnessed that you are playing with fire and attacking critical infrastructure. This time, ‘an eye for an eye’ will not suffice; stay tuned! Employees of industrial companies linked to the Americans and the Zionist regime must immediately leave their workplaces to avoid putting their lives at risk!”
Trump Had Pledged to Halt Attacks Until April 10
Just this past Friday, U.S. President Trump had stated that he was suspending attacks on key Iranian facilities for a period of 10 days. However, shortly thereafter, the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran confirmed that attacks had been carried out against the Shahid Khondab Heavy Water Complex in Arak and the Ardakan Yellowcake Plant in Yazd province. The agency reported that there were no casualties at present, nor was there any risk of a radioactive leak. Iran has vowed not to yield and has pledged to respond to this attack. Meanwhile, regarding the conflict, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the United States can achieve its objectives concerning Iran without deploying ground troops. Marco Rubio informed his G7 counterparts that the U.S. is capable of attaining its goals in Iran without the deployment of ground forces. Rubio remarked that the conflict with Iran should conclude within a few weeks. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio conveyed to his G7 counterparts that the U.S.-Israeli military operation against Iran is expected to wrap up in just a few weeks.
