Writing on the social media platform X, Ghalibaf stated: “The Iranian people demand full and severe punishment for the aggressors (the US and Israel). Until this objective is achieved, all Iranian officials stand firmly alongside their Supreme Leader and the public.”
Trump’s Rhetoric Aimed at Manipulating Oil Markets
In a subsequent post on X, he added: “No talks have taken place with the US. Trump is utilizing fake news to manipulate financial and oil markets, and to extricate himself from the quagmire in which the US and Israel currently find themselves trapped.”
Ghalibaf’s Name Had Surfaced as Iran’s Negotiator
It is worth noting that Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf’s name had previously surfaced in reports suggesting that he was acting as Iran’s negotiator in talks with the US. However, he has now personally and unequivocally denied that any discussions were held with Trump.
Iran Not Inclined Towards Dialogue
