Trump gave this answer in a press conference( conference)

Washington: After carrying out a military operation in Venezuela, taking President Nicolas Maduro and his wife hostage and bringing them to the US, President Donald Trump held a press conference    ( conference)   late in the evening and also spoke about what the future holds for Venezuela. Trump said that the US will manage the country’s administration until a safe transfer of power takes place in Venezuela.

The US will now run Venezuela’s administration
The US captured Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro in a surprise military operation early Saturday and took him out of the country. Maduro is being taken to the US on a warship where he will face trial. This US action is the culmination of months of increasing pressure on the oil-rich Latin American country. Trump said that the US will run Venezuela’s administration until a transfer of power takes place. He claimed that a US presence is already established, although there were no immediate indications that the US was running the country.

“We will take charge of the Latin American country until we have a safe, proper and prudent transfer of power,” Trump said. Trump claimed that Secretary of State Marco Rubio has spoken to the Venezuelan Vice President about ‘making that country great again’. Trump claimed at a press conference at Mar-a-Lago that this “extremely successful operation should serve as a warning to anyone who wants to threaten American sovereignty or endanger American lives.”

Venezuelan state television broadcast live images of small groups of Maduro supporters protesting in Caracas.
