GM/NCR released the Working Time Table for the three divisions

Shri Naresh Pal Singh, the General Manager of North Central Railway (NCR), released the updated Working Time Table for the three divisions—Prayagraj, Jhansi, and Agra—which officially comes into effect from January 1, 2026.
The release of this operational document is a critical step for ensuring safe and punctual train operations across the North Central zone.
While speaking on the occasion The General Manager emphasized that the Working Time Table is not just a schedule but a legal and operational commitment to maintain a high punctuality rate and ensure the safety of both passenger and freight trains
Key Highlights of the New Working Time Table
The updated WTT includes several operational changes designed to streamline traffic and accommodate new services:
• Division Coverage: The timetable covers all three divisions under NCR: Prayagraj, Jhansi , and Agra.
• New Services: Incluion of 20 pairs of new trains, including premium segments like Vande Bharat and Amrit Bharat.
• Extended Reach: The inclusion of 11 pairs of trains which have been extended to cover more destinations.
• Frequency Increase: The frequency of 01 pair of trains has been increased to meet high demand.
• Operational Re-numbering: 30 trains will now operate under new numbers.
• Schedule Adjustments: To improve punctuality and operational flexibility, the timings of several trains have been revised.
• Speed & Efficiency: 07 trains will see an increase in speed, reducing overall travel time.
• Modernization: 09 pairs of trains included who have undergone a “Rake Change,” moving from old ICF coaches to modern, safer, and faster LHB rakes.
• 24 experimental stoppages, the railway aims to provide better connectivity to smaller towns and rural areas.
• 09 pairs of special trains included in the schedule are aimed at managing the massive rush expected during the peak pilgrimage and tourist season.
• Infrastructure Integration: The new schedule incorporates recent infrastructure upgrades, such as new third lines and station redevelopment projects etc.
Traveler Advisory: Since arrival and departure timings for several trains have changed (varying by 5 to 20 minutes), passengers are advised to verify their schedules via the NTES (National Train Enquiry System) app or by dialing 139 before their journey starting January 1st.
