12 Naxalites surrender in Rajnandgaon( 12 Naxalites ) 

Rajnandgaon: The government and security forces are continuously carrying out operations to completely free the country from Naxalism. While security forces are continuously eliminating Naxalites in encounters, a large number of Naxalites are also surrendering due to the government’s surrender and rehabilitation policy. In this sequence, 12 Naxalites      ( 12 Naxalites )  surrendered in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh on Monday. A total reward of Rs 2.95 crore was declared on these surrendering Naxalites, and this includes Ramdher, a member of the Maoist Central Committee. According to officials, these Naxalites surrendered before police officials, influenced by the government’s new surrender and rehabilitation policy.

Large quantity of weapons also surrendered
The 12 Naxalites who surrendered in Rajnandgaon include 6 women. The surrendering Naxalites also handed over weapons to the police, including 3 AK-47 rifles, 3 INSAS rifles, 2 .303 rifles, 1 SLR and 1 carbine rifle. According to officials, those who surrendered include Central Committee member Ramdher alias Horupu alias Amarjeet alias Deu Majji. Besides him, his wife Anita alias Lalita alias Jaini, Chandu alias Naresh alias Chaitram alias Devchand, Prem alias Umrao and Janki alias Prema alias Limi, party members Sheela alias Vaisanti alias Sevanti, Lakshmi alias Manita, Yogita alias Lakshmi, Sagar alias Rainu, Kavita alias Mase and two area committee members Ramsingh alias Sampat and Sukesh alias Ranga also surrendered. A reward of Rs 1.05 crore was declared on Ramdher (53). Over 4,000 Naxalites have returned to the mainstream – CM Sai
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai also issued a statement regarding the surrender of Naxalites. He said, “Today, 12 Maoists, including Ramdher Majhi, a Naxalite with a bounty of Rs 1.05 crore on his head, surrendered with their weapons, abandoning the path of violence. It is a result of the Chhattisgarh government’s effective rehabilitation policy and continuous confidence-building initiatives that in the last two years, more than 4,000 Naxalites have laid down their arms and returned to development and the mainstream. This is clear proof that the hollow and violent ideology of Naxalism is being decisively defeated and is now breathing its last. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the guidance of Home Minister Amit Shah, our resolve to completely eradicate Naxalism by March 31, 2026, will surely be fulfilled.”

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said, “Naxalism had held the development of Bastar and other affected areas hostage for decades. With its weakening and eventual end, rapid progress is being made in basic sectors like roads, electricity, communication, education, health, and employment, creating new opportunities for a better life for the common people. The misguided brothers and sisters who are returning to the mainstream by taking advantage of our rehabilitation policy are now starting a new chapter of respect, security, and a bright future.
