No one in the world can match Poseidon: Putin  (Putin)

Moscow: Following the successful test of the Burevestnik ICBM cruise nuclear missile, Russia has stunned the world by testing its second most stunning weapon in just a week. Russian President Putin has claimed the successful test of the Poseidon sea-based nuclear drone. According to Russia, the Poseidon nuclear drone is far more powerful and dangerous than the Sarmat missile. Putin    (Putin)   stated that no one in the world can currently match this weapon.

No one in the world can match Poseidon: Putin
Russian President Vladimir Putin made the historic announcement on Wednesday that Russia has successfully tested the nuclear-powered Poseidon submarine drone. The capabilities of this “Doomsday Torpedo” surpass Russia’s own Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile to a large extent. “Poseidon’s nuclear power plant is 1,000 times more powerful than the ‘Burevestnik’ cruise missile. This weapon is beyond interception, meaning no one in the world can stop it. This drone can carry a 100-megaton nuclear warhead, which is 6,600 times more explosive than the Hiroshima bomb. Russia’s ‘Sarmat’ missile is considered the world’s most destructive weapon.

Russia conducted this successful test on October 28th. The drone’s nuclear reactor was activated. Putin stated in a video message, “The Poseidon’s nuclear power plant is 1,000 times more powerful than the ‘Burevestnik’ cruise missile. This weapon is beyond interception, meaning no one in the world can stop it. This drone can carry a 100-megaton nuclear warhead, which is 6,600 times more explosive than the Hiroshima bomb.”

Poseidon will create a radioactive tsunami

This dangerous weapon aims to create a radioactive tsunami in coastal cities, which will render areas uninhabitable for years. Poseidon, known as Status-6 by NATO, is one of six “super weapons” announced by Putin in 2018. It is an autonomous underwater vehicle launched from the Belgorod submarine. It has a range of over 10,000 km and can operate at continental depths (greater than 1,000 meters). Putin claimed that its destructive power far surpasses that of the Sarmat (15,000 km range, 10-15 warheads) because it can evade conventional missile defense systems.

Second Most Dangerous Weapon Developed Amid War with Ukraine
This announcement comes amid the Ukraine War, where Russia is demonstrating its military superiority. Experts believe it serves as a warning to the US and NATO, who are concerned about Russia’s “exotic nuclear weapons.” Last week, Russia developed a nuclear-powered cruise missile called the Burevestnik, capable of crossing the South Pole and striking protected targets.

Russia’s test has caused global outrage. The international community has expressed deep concerns about this weapon. Following the test, President Putin said, “This test is proof of Russia’s technological superiority. No one can stop it.” Russia had previously claimed to test the same drone in 2023, but this is the first time such detailed information has been provided. The international community has expressed concern that this weapon could challenge the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the drone will be deployed soon. This development will strengthen Russia’s maritime dominance in its military strategy, but could increase global tensions.
