Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami honored three promising Karate Champions of the state in New Delhi on Tuesday. The Chief Minister said that all the talented players being honored are the foundation of the bright future of the state. He said, these players have increased the pride of their parents as well as Uttarakhand with their sports talent. The three players Anamika, Maitri and Kriyansh have won silver, bronze and bronze medals while representing India in the 9th South Asian Karate Championship held in Colombo, Sri Lanka on 5-6 July 2025, the Chief Minister wished these players a bright future and also wished them success in future events.
These players were selected on the basis of their excellent performance in the National Karate Championship organized by Karate India Organization in Dehradun. In which Anamika Bisht, daughter of Mr. Harish Bisht, District Champawat – Silver Medal, Maitri Baluni, daughter of Mr. Kailash Baluni, Doiwala, District Dehradun – Bronze Medal and Kriyansh Kaushik, son of Mr. Sumanta Sharma, District Dehradun – Bronze Medal have been received.
