PM Modi spoke on terrorism in BRICS summit (BRICS summit)   

Janeiro: Brazil: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in the BRICS summit   (BRICS summit)    that the victims and supporters of terrorism cannot be weighed on the same scale. PM Modi said that there should be no hesitation in imposing sanctions against terrorists. Addressing the session organized on peace and security, PM Modi said that the ‘cowardly’ terrorist attack in Pahalgam is a direct attack on India’s ‘soul, identity and dignity’.

The attack was not only on India but on the entire humanity

He said, ‘This attack was a blow not only on India but on the entire humanity.’ The Prime Minister said, ‘Condemning terrorism should be our ‘principle’ and not just convenience.’ PM Modi said, ‘If we first see in which country the attack took place, against whom it was, then it would be a betrayal of humanity.’

Calling for united efforts to deal with terrorism, Prime Minister Modi said that there should be no hesitation in imposing sanctions against terrorists. He said, ‘Victims and supporters of terrorism cannot be weighed on the same scale.’

PM Modi said that there should be no difference between words and deeds in relation to terrorism. PM Modi said, ‘If we cannot do this, then the question naturally arises whether we are serious about the fight against terrorism or not?’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed ‘heartfelt gratitude’ to the friendly countries who stood with India and supported it after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22. 26 civilians were killed in this attack. In his address, Modi also expressed serious concern over the situation in Gaza. He said, ‘The humanitarian situation in Gaza is a matter of great concern.’
