Geneva: After months of tussle between America (America ) and China, news of a major trade agreement is coming out. American President Donald Trump has given information about the finalization of the trade deal with China on his Truth social media account. He has also attached the agreement letter in it. It is written in it that America announces a trade agreement with China in Geneva.
In this agreement, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant is quoted as saying “I am pleased to report that we have made substantial progress in the very important trade talks between the United States and China. First I want to thank our Swiss hosts. The Swiss government has been very gracious by providing us with this wonderful venue and I think that has allowed us to see a lot of productivity. We will give details tomorrow, but I can tell you that the talks were very productive. I was with Ambassador Jamieson and our Deputy Prime Minister, two Deputy Ministers who were integrally involved, I spoke to President Trump, as did Ambassador Jamieson last night, and he is fully aware of what is going on.
US Trade Representative said agreement is important
US Trade Representative Ambassador Jamieson Greer is quoted as saying “As the Secretary mentioned, these two days have been very constructive. It is important to understand how quickly we were able to reach a consensus, which shows that perhaps the differences were not as great as was thought. That being said, a lot of groundwork was done in these two days. Just remember why we’re here. The United States has a huge trade deficit of $1.2 trillion, so the president declared a national emergency and imposed tariffs. We believe the agreement we reached with our Chinese partners will help us work toward resolving that national emergency.”
