Jaisalmer: The scorching heat continues to wreak havoc in Rajasthan. The maximum temperature (temperature ) in the state’s Jaisalmer district was recorded at 46.3 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has informed that the temperature is likely to drop in the coming days and people may get some relief from the heat wave.
What was the temperature recorded where?
According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in Jaisalmer was 46.3 degrees Celsius, the maximum temperature in Phalodi was 45.8 degrees, in Barmer 45.7 degrees, in Bikaner and Ganganagar 44.2 degrees, in Jodhpur 44 degrees, in Churu 43.3 degrees, in Kota 43.1 degrees, in Dabok and Bhilwara 42.9 degrees and in Jalore 42.3 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the temperature in other major cities of the state remained between 37.1 to 41.8 degree Celsius. The minimum night temperature in Phalodi was 31.4 degree Celsius, while at other major places it was recorded between 20.4 to 28.4 degree Celsius.
Chances of rain in these parts
However, the Meteorological Department has given this relief news that a new western disturbance will be active from May 1, due to which light rain with thunder and strong winds are likely in some parts of Jodhpur, Bikaner, Ajmer and Jaipur divisions in the afternoon.
At the same time, on May 2, there is a possibility of rain with thunderstorms in some parts of Bikaner, Jodhpur, Ajmer, Udaipur, Kota, Jaipur and Bharatpur divisions.
The spokesperson of the Meteorological Department said that between May 4 and 7, thunderstorm and rain activities will continue in some parts of the state, due to which the temperature may drop by 3 to 4 degree Celsius and there will be relief from heat wave.
