Myanmar: India has rescued and taken out 283 of its citizens from Myanmar. These Indians were forced to commit cyber crime by luring them with lucrative jobs. ( jobs) The Indian Foreign Ministry has informed that the Indian embassies in Myanmar and Thailand have evacuated the Indian citizens in coordination with the local authorities.
Took help of Air Force aircraft
On Monday, the safe return of Indian citizens was ensured through the Indian Air Force aircraft from Mae Sot, Thailand. The Ministry of External Affairs said that- “These people were later forced to engage in cyber crime and other fraudulent activities in scam centers operating in areas bordering Myanmar-Thailand.”

The Ministry of External Affairs said in its statement- “The Government of India is continuously making efforts for the release and return of Indian citizens who were sent to various South-East Asian countries including Myanmar with fake job offers. The Indian Embassies in Myanmar and Thailand, in coordination with the local authorities, have ensured the return of 283 Indian citizens today by Indian Air Force aircraft from Mae Sot, Thailand.”
