Why is X going down repeatedly?  (X)

X: Elon Musk said that there has been a major cyber attack on X.  (X) This is the reason why this social media platform is going down repeatedly. He also said that cyber attacks happen on X every day, but on Monday (March 10) a cyber attack was done with full force. He suspected that a large organized group or a country may be involved in this.

Services of social media platform ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), owned by industrialist Elon Musk, were disrupted. Thousands of users around the world reported problems in X. According to Downdetector, a website that monitors problems and service disruptions in real time, the highest number of complaints were received at 3:30 pm. About 2,200 reports came from Indian users and the problem increased again at 7:30 pm. 1,500 reports were received on the website. Downdetector said that after some time the information about the problems reduced. Services seem to be normal.

More complaints from US-UK

People faced a large number of problems globally. According to the report, 20,000 people in the US and 10,000 in the UK complained of trouble in using X. According to Downdetector, about 53 percent of the problems were related to the website, 41 percent to the app and six percent to server connection problems. During the down, users had trouble refreshing the ‘feed’, posting posts. They saw messages like ‘Something went wrong, try reloading’.

Big cyber attack

At 10.55 pm Indian time, Elon Musk told through X post, “There was a very big cyber attack against X (still happening). We are attacked every day, but this was done with a lot of resources. Either a large, coordinated group and/or a country is involved in this.” Musk finally said that the person who carried out the cyber attack is being traced. Musk’s post came in response to a post by a user named Doge Designer. The post read “First, protests against Doge. Then, Tesla stores were attacked. Now, X is down. I would not rule out the possibility that this downtime is the result of an attack on X.”
