Trump also said that he does not want to harm Russia. The US President said that he loves the Russian people and has a good relationship with Putin. He said, “We should never forget that Russia helped us win the Second World War, in which about 60,000,000 people lost their lives. Having said all this, I am going to do Russia, whose economy is failing, and President Putin a huge favor. Make peace now and stop this absurd war! It will only get worse.”

Let us tell you that the new US President had already promised to end the war immediately after taking office. He said in his post, ‘Let’s end this war, which would never have started if I were the President!’

‘If I were the President, there would never have been a war in Ukraine’

Earlier on Tuesday, Trump had said that he was ready to meet his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin anytime, but at the same time he warned that sanctions could be imposed on Russia if Russia does not come forward for talks on the issue of Ukraine. When asked whether the US would impose more sanctions on Russia if Putin does not come forward for talks, Trump said, “It seems so.” Trump said, “The conflict should never have started. I think you did not have a competent president… if there was, there would have been no war. If I were president, there would never have been a war in Ukraine.”
