Anuj Rawat joins Gujarat Titans team(Anuj Rawat) 

Anuj Rawat: In the IPL 2025 mega auction, experienced wicketkeeper batsman Anuj Rawat (Anuj Rawat)  was bought by Gujarat Titans team for Rs 30 lakh. Earlier he was associated with the RCB team. There is still a lot of time left for IPL 2025 to start. But even before that, Anuj Rawat left the state team’s Ranji camp going on at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi and joined the practice session of his IPL team Gujarat Titans in Surat on Monday. Delhi has to face Saurashtra in the first match of the second round of Ranji Trophy.

When the officials of the Board of Control for Cricket in India are expecting the players to give priority to the red ball, Rawat’s participation in the IPL camp a week before the second phase of the Ranji session is a clear indication of what their priorities are? Gujarat Titans have started their preparations for IPL 2025 with a training camp in Surat. Players like Anuj Rawat, Ishant Sharma, Jayant Yadav, Kumar Kushagra, Mahipal Lomror and Arshad Khan along with coaches and support staff have joined this camp.

Anuj Rawat did not inform the state cricket board
When Ashok Sharma, convener secretary of the state team selection committee of Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA), was asked about Rawat, he said that I have no information that Anuj has left the Ranji Trophy camp going on here to participate in the IPL team camp. He should have taken approval from the state cricket board for this. We have two Ranji matches left and the camp is going on at Kotla. I don’t know who allowed him not to participate in the Ranji Trophy camp.

Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan lost their central contract due to a mistake.
Anuj Rawat has so far scored 1435 runs in 34 first class matches. At the same time, he has 888 runs in his name in 32 List-A matches. Apart from this, he has scored 318 runs in 24 IPL matches, in which he has a half-century to his name. Before Rawat, last year KKR’s IPL winning captain Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan lost BCCI’s central contract due to giving more importance to IPL than domestic cricket. Iyer and Kishan learned from their mistake and are playing for Mumbai and Jharkhand respectively in all formats in the current session.
