ICC rankings exposed the truth of Team India’s archers(ICC rankings)

ICC Ranking: The Test rankings released by the ICC  (ICC rankings)  on the very first day of the year 2025 are very embarrassing. Barring a few batsmen of Team India, everyone is sliding down. The special thing is that only one Indian batsman has been able to make his place in the top 10. The rest of the legendary players have gone down even below the last time’s rankings.

Only one Indian batsman in the top 10 in Test rankings

Yashasvi Jaiswal is the only batsman who has managed to save face. Thanks to his fighting innings played in the fourth Test against Australia, he has now jumped one place to number 4. No other batsman is in the top 10. Rishabh Pant, who was already out of the top 10 list, has now moved down one more place and now he has reached number 12 with a rating of 701. Shubman Gill did not play the last match, so he is at number 20 as before.

Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul are in bad shape

Virat Kohli, who is called the best batsman in the world even today, has started a race to go down. He is not taking the name of stopping. He has now reached number 24 with a rating of 633. He has lost three places compared to last time. Captain Rohit Sharma is bent on cutting his nose in a way. He has now slipped five places down and reached number 40 directly. On the other hand, KL Rahul has lost one place this time, that is, now he has reached number 41.

It will be a difficult task to return to the top 10
If Virat Kohli plays some good innings, there is a possibility of his return to the top 10, but captain Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul have fallen to such an extent that the possibility of them coming back to the top 10 is very less, because one or two big innings will not be enough for them. Currently, Indian batsmen have one more test against Australia, in which they can improve their ranking and rating by performing well, but looking at the current situation, this task seems very difficult.
