Mahakumbh: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken stock of preparations for Mahakumbh (Mahakumbh’) to be held in Prayagraj. During this, CM Yogi has given instructions to get police verification done of all taxi, auto, e-rickshaw drivers running in Prayagraj before Mahakumbh. Along with this, CM Yogi has instructed UP Police to further improve intelligence and maintain constant coordination with the security agencies of the central government. CM Yogi has said that in recent times, major action has been taken against mafias around Prayagraj, it should be ensured that action against their henchmen is intensified as per the need before Mahakumbh.
‘Safe Mahakumbh’ concept
CM Yogi, while reviewing the preparations for Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, said that Prime Minister Modi has envisioned a ‘safe Mahakumbh’. All necessary arrangements should be made for this. CM Yogi said that all the 20 thousand police personnel who have been deployed so far must be trained. He has given instructions to increase foot patrolling, availability of anti-drone system, not to allow the movement of stray animals. Time till January 5 has been given to complete the work of reconstruction/strengthening of all the roads coming to Prayagraj. He also said that the work of repairing the roads, decorating the dividers etc. should be completed by the end of this month. CM Yogi has also instructed the officials that if there is encroachment anywhere on these routes, then it should be removed by taking strict action.
More than 7000 buses will be deployed – CM Yogi
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed that more than 7000 buses will be deployed in view of the Maha Kumbh. More than one and a half lakh toilets will be installed here. Emphasizing on cleanliness, the CM directed that the cleanliness system here should be strengthened by deploying 10 thousand employees. The Chief Minister directed that requests are being received from various states to set up their camps in Maha Kumbh, appropriate decision should be taken immediately in this regard. CM Yogi has said that 24×7 supply of pure water should be ensured in every sector. He also said that the work of repairing roads, decoration of dividers etc. should be completed by the end of this month.
Chief Minister Yogi, who reached Prayagraj on a one-day visit, performed the aarti of Ganga Maiya with Vedic chanting at the newly constructed Dashashwamedh Ghat and sought blessings for the successful organization of Mahakumbh 2025 by visiting and worshipping at the Dashashwamedh Mahadev temple. The Chief Minister conducted a physical inspection of the tent city under construction in the fair area and said that there should be good arrangements for food for the people staying here. Keeping in view the cold weather, all necessary arrangements should be made on time.
10 crore people are expected to come by train
CM Yogi also reviewed the preparations at Prayagraj Railway Junction. He stressed on maintaining better coordination between the state government and railway officials. CM Yogi estimated that about 10 crore people will come to Maha Kumbh by train this time. Roadways buses will also be made available to transport people from the railway station to the Maha Kumbh Mela area. Railway officials told the Chief Minister that this time separate shelters have been built at Prayagraj Junction with a capacity to accommodate 22000 people, while the railways have made arrangements for shelter for 01 lakh people throughout Prayagraj. Along with this, the Chief Minister visited the airport during his scheduled time and inspected the entire site and gave necessary instructions to the airport officials.
