New Delhi: Famous industrialist Ratan Tata ( Ratan Tata) has passed away. He breathed his last at the age of 86. He was ill for a long time and was undergoing treatment at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai.
Tata Group statement came out
Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekhar has issued a statement on this occasion. He said, ‘It is with a sense of extreme loss that we bid a final farewell to Shri Ratan Naval Tata. An extraordinary leader whose incomparable contribution not only shaped the Tata Group but also wove the basic fabric of our nation. For the Tata Group, Shri Tata was much more than a chairperson. For me, he was a guru, a guide and a friend too.’
He said, ‘With unwavering commitment, the Tata Group under Ratan Tata’s leadership expanded excellence, integrity and innovation. He always remained true to his moral compass. Shri Tata’s dedication to philanthropy and the development of society has influenced the lives of millions of people, from education to healthcare, his initiatives have taken deep roots. This will benefit generations to come. On behalf of the entire Tata family, I offer my deepest condolences to his loved ones. His legacy will continue to inspire us as we strive to uphold his principles.’
PM Modi expressed grief
PM Modi has expressed grief over the demise of Ratan Tata by posting on X handle. PM Modi said, ‘Shri Ratan Tata ji was a visionary business leader, kind soul and an extraordinary human being. He provided stable leadership to one of India’s oldest and most prestigious business houses. At the same time, his contribution went far beyond the boardroom. He endeared himself to many people with his humility, kindness and unwavering commitment to improving our society.’
PM Modi said, ‘One of the most unique aspects of Shri Ratan Tata ji was that he had a passion to dream big. He was at the forefront of supporting some issues like education, health care, cleanliness, animal welfare. My mind is filled with countless conversations with Shri Ratan Tata ji. I used to meet him often when I was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. We would exchange views on various issues. I found his approach very rich. These conversations continued when I came to Delhi. Deeply saddened by his demise. My condolences are with his family, friends and fans in this hour of grief. Om Shanti.’
Rajnath Singh’s statement also came out
The country’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh posted on X handle and wrote, ‘Saddened by the demise of Shri Ratan Tata. He was a great hero of Indian industry known for his remarkable contribution to our economy, trade and industry. My deepest condolences to his family, friends and fans. May his soul rest in peace.’
Rahul Gandhi’s statement also came
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also posted on X and said, ‘Ratan Tata was a man of vision. He has left an indelible mark on both business and philanthropy. My condolences to his family and the Tata community.’

RPG Enterprises Chairman Harsh Goenka posted on X handle on the demise of Ratan Tata. He wrote, ‘The clock has stopped ticking. The Titan has passed away.
