Delhi: Monsoon is expected to pick up speed again in Himachal Pradesh from tomorrow i.e. 18 September. On 18 September, warning of rain with thunder and lightning has been issued in 6 districts. Regarding this, a yellow alert (Rain alert ) has been issued in six districts Shimla, Sirmaur, Solan, Kangra, Kullu and Mandi. The Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of light rain in the state till 22 September. During the last 24 hours, Bilaspur received the highest rainfall of 100 mm. Apart from this, 35 mm rainfall was recorded in Kufri, 28 in Kasauli, 27 in Neri, 24-24 in Gohar and Karsog and 23 mm in Bijahi.
Rain alert issued for next two days
The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert of light to moderate rain with thunderstorms for September 18 (Wednesday) in Delhi. Strong surface winds of 25-35 kmph are also forecast on Wednesday. Earlier last week, the IMD had predicted light to moderate rain in parts of west and central India next week. Delhi is likely to receive rain for the next two days.
These states will receive rain
According to an IMD release, Konkan and Goa are likely to receive fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh are likely to receive fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall, and light to moderate rainfall is likely at a few places. Rain is also likely over Vidarbha, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and Gujarat during the week. The IMD said that extremely heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over western Madhya Pradesh on September 18.
The India Meteorological Department said on September 14 that a deep depression lay over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining Bangladesh. According to an IMD release, very heavy rainfall is likely over Assam and Meghalaya during September 18 to 20.
