F-16 crashes in Russian drone attack
Ukraine’s Air Force informed about this incident on Thursday. A military statement posted on Facebook said that the fighter plane crashed when Russia launched a major missile and drone attack on Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that some Russian missiles and drones were shot down by F-16 planes before they reached their targets.
Ukraine also suffered heavy losses in Kursk
Ukraine has claimed that its troops have taken control of about 1,300 square kilometers (500 square miles) of territory in Russia’s Kursk region. At the same time, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Tuesday that Ukraine has suffered heavy losses in Kursk. It said that about 6,600 soldiers were killed or injured and more than 70 tanks and many armored vehicles were destroyed. These figures could not be independently confirmed. Meanwhile, officials in Russia said that four Ukrainian missiles were shot down in the Kursk region.
In this war, Russia is continuously making deadly attacks on Ukraine. On the intervening night of Monday-Tuesday, Russia targeted the whole of Ukraine with missiles and drones, in which many people were killed. Russia targeted Ukraine’s energy plants.
