Delhi: UP’s Yogi government had ordered that all the hotels, dhabas and carts on the Kanwar route will write their name and mobile number in bold letters on their shops. Yogi had given this order regarding the faith of the Kanwariyas but the opposition made it a Hindu Muslim issue. Today, there was a heated debate in the Supreme Court (‘Supreme Court’) regarding the petition, after which the country’s biggest court has put an interim stay on the nameplate rule. The Supreme Court said that shopkeepers do not need to reveal their identity. Also, the court said that those running hotels will only have to give information about the type of food i.e. whether it is vegetarian or non-vegetarian.
‘Poor Muslims are being targeted’
At the same time, the reaction of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen President Asaduddin Owaisi has come to the fore on this matter. Owaisi said that today’s interim order of the Supreme Court is good but BJP is not going to stop here. Their target is small Muslim traders, who earn money daily. Muslims were thrown out of the dhaba. Their attempt is to end the employment of small Muslims. This hatred should end.
What did Owaisi say about BJP’s allies?
On BJP’s allies, Owaisi said, it is better if these people do not speak because BJP does not listen to them. At the same time, on the issue of government employees going to the programs of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), he said, RSS never accepted the Indian tricolor. After the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi, Nehru and Patel banned RSS. What message do you want to give to government employees?
