New Delhi: After the Lok Sabha elections, the NDA government has been formed at the Center. However, meetings are still going on regarding the post of Lok Sabha Speaker. The leaders of the NDA parties met for a long time at the residence of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday. However, now this meeting is over. In the meeting of NDA leaders at Rajnath Singh’s house, only the list of speakers on the President’s address was discussed. It is being told that Union Ministers Piyush Goyal, Bhupendra Yadav, Manohar Lal, Dharmendra Pradhan, Kiren Rijiju, S Jaishankar, Virendra Kumar and Annapurna Devi attended the meeting. At the same time, some leaders of the constituent parties of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), including Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lallan Singh of Janata Dal (United) and Chirag Paswan of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), were also present in this meeting. Lallan Singh and Chirag Paswan are also ministers in the central government. The first session of the eighteenth Lok Sabha will begin on June 24. During this time new members of the lower house will take oath and then the Lok Sabha Speaker will be elected on June 26.

Meanwhile, sources said that a separate meeting of the Maharashtra BJP core group will be held at the party headquarters this evening to discuss the party’s strategy for the assembly elections to be held in the state later this year. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, party state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule, senior leader Ashish Shelar, MP Ashok Chauhan, Minister Girish Mahajan and other leaders are expected to attend the meeting to be chaired by BJP President JP Nadda. According to sources, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP General Secretary (Organization) BL Santosh are also expected to be present in this meeting.
