New Delhi: Indian citizens have been killed in the war between Russia ( Russian) and Ukraine. India has said that two Indian citizens recruited by the Russian army have recently died in the Russia-Ukraine war, taking the number of such deaths to four. The Ministry of External Affairs said that India has strongly raised the matter with Russia and demanded the early return of all Indian citizens involved in the Russian army.
‘There should be a ban’
The statement said that India has demanded that “any further recruitment of Indian citizens by the Russian army should be completely stopped and such activities would not be in line with our partnership.” The Ministry of External Affairs said, “We are sorry to inform that two Indian citizens recruited by the Russian army have recently died in the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.”
Condolences to the families
The Ministry of External Affairs said, “We express our deepest condolences to the families of the deceased. Our embassy in Moscow has put pressure on the Russian authorities to send back the bodies as soon as possible.”
People of these countries are included in the Russian army
Russia is also suffering losses in the war with Ukraine. In such a situation, Russia is recruiting foreign soldiers at many levels. Apart from India, Nepal, citizens of African countries and East Asian countries have also been included in the Russian army. Foreign citizens have not been entrusted with any major responsibility in the Russian army.
