Narayanpur: Security forces have got great success in their efforts to end Naxalism. An encounter took place between security forces and Naxalites on Friday in Naxal-affected Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh. Security forces have killed five Naxalites in this encounter. According to the information given by the police officials, five Naxalites (Naxalites) were killed and 3 were injured in an encounter between security forces and Naxalites on the border of Narayanpur, Dantewada and Kondagaon districts.
Naxals started firing
Officials have informed that on Thursday night, security forces were sent to Mungedi and Gobel area located on the border of Narayanpur, Dantewada and Kondagaon districts. At the same time, Naxalites started firing on the security forces. After this, the security forces also retaliated, intermittent firing took place from both sides throughout the day.
3 jawans also injured
Security officials have said that after this encounter, bodies of five Naxalites have been recovered from the area so far. A large number of Naxalites are likely to be injured in the entire operation. Officials have said that three jawans of Narayanpur DRG have also been injured in this encounter, the condition of the injured jawans is normal and out of danger.
123 Naxalites killed this year
After the latest encounter, 123 Naxalites have been killed in different encounters with security forces in Chhattisgarh so far this year. On May 23, seven Naxalites were killed in an encounter with security personnel in the forest on the Narayanpur-Bijapur inter-district border, while 12 Naxalites were killed in Bijapur district on May 10. Police said that on April 30, ten Naxalites including three female Naxalites were killed in an encounter in the forest on the border of Narayanpur and Kanker districts and on April 16, 29 Naxalites were killed in an encounter in Kanker district.
