Lok Sabha elections: Many strange records were made in the results of the Lok Sabha elections released on Tuesday. Chandrasekhar Pemmasani, who was considered the richest candidate in the country, managed to win the election from Guntur in Andhra Pradesh. With this, he became the richest candidate to win the election. Pemmasani is associated with TDP. Defeated his nearest rival by 5 lakh votes

Chandrasekhar Pemmasani got 8 lakh 64 thousand 948 votes in the election. While his nearest rival and YSR Congress candidate Kilari Venkat Rosayya could get only 5 lakh 20 thousand 253 votes. With this, Pemmasani achieved a big victory by a margin of 3 lakh 44 thousand 695 votes.

The second position among the richest candidates who won the Lok Sabha elections was held by BJP candidate Vishweshwar Reddy from Chevella in Andhra Pradesh. He had declared assets worth Rs. 4,568 crores in the elections. He defeated his rival Congress’ Gaddam Ranjit Reddy by a margin of 1 lakh 72 thousand 897 votes.

Naveen Jindal was third among the richest candidates

BJP candidate and industrialist Naveen Jindal, who contested from Haryana’s Kurukshetra seat, was third in this series. He had declared assets worth Rs. 1,241 crores. He defeated his nearest rival Aam Aadmi Party’s Sushil Gupta by 29,021 votes in the elections.

Prabhakar Reddy Vemireddy, Telugu Desam Party candidate from Nellur in Andhra Pradesh, was also among the richest candidates who won. While filing his nomination, he had declared his assets worth Rs 716 crore. He defeated YSR Congress’ Venumbaka Vijayasai Reddy by a margin of 2,45,902 votes.

2572 crorepati candidates tried their luck

Union Minister and BJP candidate from Guna in Madhya Pradesh Jyotiraditya M. Scindia has declared assets worth Rs 424 crore. He won by a margin of more than five lakh votes. Actor-turned-politician and BJP candidate from Mathura Hema Malini had declared assets worth Rs 278 crore. She managed to win for the third time by a margin of 2,93,407 votes. This time 2,572 crorepati candidates are in the fray.
