2 terrorists killed in encounter, AK-47 also recovered

Srinagar: News of an encounter between security forces and terrorists came from two different places from Jammu and Kashmir today. First, a terrorist was killed by the soldiers in Kulgam. An AK rifle along with ammunition was recovered from the spot. A search operation is being conducted in the entire area.

Acting on a tip-off about the presence of terrorists in the Chawlgam area of ​​Kulgam in south Kashmir, security forces cordoned off and launched a search operation, a police official said.

He said that when the forces were conducting searches in the area, the terrorists fired upon them. The officer said that the security forces retaliated after which the encounter started.
