This year Nautapa has started from 25 May and it will end on 2 June. During the Nautapa period, the rays of the sun fall directly on the earth and people have to face strong sunlight. Nautapa begins as soon as Rohini Nakshatra arrives and people have to face scorching heat. However, the farmer community considers it right.
According to Indian astrology, when the Sun enters the Rohini constellation and stays for 9 days, it is called the Nautapa period. The Nautapa period comes in the end of May and the first week of June.
