Weather: The weather pattern in Delhi changed (chance ) completely on Friday. The temperature dipped due to thunderstorms, stormy winds and rain. Therefore, the people of Delhi-NCR got immediate relief from the scorching heat. Even today, the Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for rain in many areas of the capital and informed about the weather condition of the country. According to IMD, there will be relief from heat in Delhi and NCR for a few days. The maximum temperature will remain under control. There will be no heat wave here right now.
The minimum temperature recorded in Delhi on Friday was 27.7 degrees Celsius, which was three degrees less than the average temperature of this season. The relative humidity level in Delhi was recorded at 64 percent at 8.30 am. Apart from Delhi, there may also be heavy rain in Ghaziabad, Noida, Gurugram and Faridabad today.
There is a cyclonic wind area in and around north-eastern Rajasthan. An area of cyclonic winds has formed over the areas of Central Maharashtra and North Western Rajasthan. During the last 24 hours, moderate to heavy rain occurred in Gangetic West Bengal, North Coast of Odisha and Vidarbha.
Light to moderate rain and thundershowers occurred over East Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Northeast India, East Bihar, Jharkhand, Northeast Madhya Pradesh, South Interior Karnataka, Kerala, Interior Tamil Nadu and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Light rain occurred in East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Coastal Tamil Nadu, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Northeast Rajasthan, Northeast India and Sikkim. Heat wave also occurred in some parts of the country on Friday.

According to ‘Skymet Weather’, light to moderate rain and thundershowers along with lightning and strong winds (40-50 km per hour) are expected over Northeast India, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, parts of Karnataka and Kerala on Saturday. Light to moderate rain is possible in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, East Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Scattered dust storms with light rain and thunder are possible at some places in Punjab, Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Rajasthan.
