According to Skymet Weather report, light to moderate rain may occur in Western Himalayan areas and Arunachal Pradesh in the next 24 hours. Snowfall is also possible at some places. The intensity of rain and snowfall over the Western Himalayas will reduce considerably but is likely to continue till February 23 in Arunachal Pradesh. Light to moderate rain is possible in some areas of North Punjab, North Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh and many places in Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya.
Where will it rain?
At the same time, there may be rain in some parts of Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur, Sikkim, Tripura and Jharkhand. Apart from this, there is a possibility of light rain in North-East Rajasthan and North Madhya Pradesh. However, the weather of Haryana and Punjab will clear by 22 February. There may be light rain at some places in Kerala.

Chandigarh-based DGRI i.e. Defense Geo-Informatics Research Establishment has issued an avalanche warning in the high altitude areas of Lahaul Spiti, Kinnaur, Shimla, Chamba and Kullu districts of Himachal Pradesh.
Many roads closed due to snowfall
According to the information, vehicular movement has stopped due to snowfall on a total of 405 roads including four national highways. In Lahaul and Spiti, traffic has been disrupted the most on 288 roads, while 577 electricity transformers have come to a standstill.
