New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who is on ‘Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra’ before the Lok Sabha elections, has once again commented on PM Narendra Modi’s caste on Thursday, after which his problems may increase. The Chairman of the National Backward Classes Commission (Commission) said that it is being considered to issue a notice to Rahul Gandhi for his comment on PM Modi’s caste.
“Good coordination among the components of the opposition ‘India’ alliance”: Congress
Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ reached Raigarh in Chhattisgarh from Odisha on Thursday. Here Rahul Gandhi said about PM Modi – “Narendra Modi ji was born in Gujarat in the Teli caste. BJP included him and his community in OBC in the year 2000.”
Rahul Gandhi further said, “Modi ji says in Parliament why does OBC class need participation, I am OBC. First of all I want to tell you that you people are being fooled terribly. Narendra Modi ji was not born OBC. Were.”
What did the Chairman of the National Backward Classes Commission say?
National Backward Classes Commission Chairman Hansraj Gangaram Ahir objected to this comment of the Congress MP. He said, “The Gujarat government had issued a notification on 25 July 1994 to include ‘Modh Ghanchi’ caste in the OBC list. 104 castes including ‘Modh Ghanchi’ caste were included in the gazette on 27 November 1999.”
Hansraj Ahir said, “When this caste was included in the backward class, Narendra Modi was neither an MLA nor the Chief Minister. At that time there was a Congress government.”
Rahul Gandhi should apologize to backward classes
National Backward Classes Commission has scrutinized the documents, in which Rahul Gandhi’s comments about PM Modi have been proved wrong. NCBC President said that Rahul Gandhi should apologize to the OBC community.
