New Delhi. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the interim budget ( budget ) on Thursday morning. This is his sixth budget as Finance Minister and the last budget of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s second term. This budget will give direction to the development of the country. Prime Minister Modi gave clear indications of this before the beginning of the budget session on Wednesday. According to economic experts, the interim budget will be a guiding light for development that will enable the country to become a five trillion dollar economy in less than the next three years.
What did PM Modi say on the interim budget?
The interim budget will seek the approval of the Parliament to meet the financial needs of the country till the formation of the new government after the Lok Sabha elections. Just before the final session of the 17th Lok Sabha, Prime Minister Modi said that usually a full budget is not kept when the time of elections is near. Following the same tradition, we will also present the full budget before you after the formation of the new government. This time, the country’s Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is going to present her budget with things that give direction.
Expressing confidence that the BJP-led NDA will get people’s support in the elections, the Prime Minister said, ‘I strongly believe that the country is moving forward and touching new heights of progress. PM Modi started media talks with Ram-Ram
While talking to the media in the Parliament complex, Prime Minister Modi started his speech with ‘Ram Ram’ and lashed out at the opposition MPs who created ruckus in the House and advised such MPs to introspect. He said that sharp criticism from the opposition in Parliament is natural and everyone welcomes it. The thoughtful criticism of opposition MPs will be remembered in times to come. But the MPs who habitually created ruckus and hooliganism during the last 10 years will not even be discussed. Hardly anyone remembers the contribution of such MPs in Parliament; even the people of their area do not know about their work in Parliament.
PM gave messages to opposition MPs
The Prime Minister described this last session of Parliament as a new opportunity for opposition MPs, during which they can atone for their past mistakes and strengthen the democratic process by participating in constructive debate. It is noteworthy that 146 MPs who created ruckus during the winter session were suspended, but their suspension was withdrawn before the budget session. Prime Minister Modi also described the budget session as important from the point of view of women power.
He said that in the first meeting held in the new building of Parliament, a new story of women empowerment was written by passing the Nari Shakti Vandan Act. Now, on the first day of the budget session, woman President Draupadi Murmu is addressing the joint meeting of both the houses, on Thursday, woman Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the budget. The Prime Minister also ended his speech by saying ‘Ram Ram’.
