New Delhi: Strong earthquake ( earth ) tremors were felt in the Bay of Bengal on Tuesday morning. These earthquake tremors occurred today at 5.32 am. According to the National Center for Seismology, the epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 kilometers in the Bay of Bengal. The intensity of the earthquake is said to be 4.2. In the picture shared by the centre, it can be clearly seen that the epicenter of the earthquake is visible away from the Andaman Nicobar Islands. However, it is a matter of relief that there has been no news of loss of life or property due to the earthquake.
Let us tell you that last Monday i.e. on 6th November, strong earthquake tremors were felt in North India including Delhi-NCR. Apart from Delhi-NCR, there was a strong earthquake in many states including Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar and Haryana. Earthquakes have been occurring continuously in North India for the last few days. Recently, an earthquake of 5.8 magnitude occurred in Jajarkot and its surrounding areas in the western part of Nepal. Due to which it was felt in North India also. There was an earthquake here on Friday night itself. In which 153 people died.
There has been massive damage in Nepal due to earthquake tremors. The tremors of this earthquake were also felt till Delhi-NCR. People were seen coming out of their homes. An earthquake of 5.6 magnitude occurred in many areas of Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand on Monday, although no damage was reported. The Disaster Management Office here said that the epicenter of the earthquake was in Nepal and tremors were felt in Dharchula, Didihat and Bangapani areas of the district at 4.17 pm. Disaster Management Office said that, however, there is no information about any loss of life or property due to this earthquake.
