New Delhi: India Meteorological Department has said that due to intense western disturbance, rain is expected in the north-west and central regions of the country in the next two days. IMD said that this is the first intense western disturbance of this season and it will cause heavy rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. There are chances of heavy rain in Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi on Monday. According to IMD, till October 21, heavy rains can be seen in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

The feeling of cold  ( winter) has started in the entire NCR including the capital Delhi. The harshness of the sun during the day has now softened, while a feeling of rosy cold has started to be felt in the morning and evening. The days are also getting shorter. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted that there may be rain in Delhi and NCR on Sunday night. There will be partly cloudy sky in the area today. Due to this, the day temperature may decrease by up to 1 degree Celsius. The maximum temperature is expected to be 35°C and the minimum temperature is expected to be 21°C. After this, mild cold may be felt during the day on 16th and 17th October.

The temperature of Delhi-NCR may drop by 3 to 4 °C.
The maximum temperature in Delhi-NCR may drop by 3 to 4 degrees. There is a possibility of light rain today and tomorrow. Due to this, the maximum temperature can remain up to 32 degrees and the minimum temperature can remain up to 20 degrees Celsius. Under the influence of Western Disturbance, a cyclonic circulation system is likely to form over Central Pakistan and adjoining areas during the next 24 hours. The IMD said the system is expected to further intensify with the possibility of merger with a fresh western disturbance on October 15. This seasonal system will affect north-west and central India till October 17. It is likely to get moisture from the Arabian Sea.

As a result, the intensity and area of rainfall is likely to increase over northwest India during this period. After the passing of the Western Disturbance, dry winds coming from the Himalayas at the lower tropospheric level are likely to prevail over North-West India. As a result, the temperature in the region is expected to drop by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius from October 17. An active Western Disturbance has reached close to the Himalayas. Its effect will be visible in the room of rain and snowfall. There is a possibility of snowfall at higher altitudes on the hills of the Western Himalayas. According to IMD, there may be light to moderate rain in many other states including Jammu and Kashmir, Leh Ladakh, Himachal, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Tamil Nadu in the coming week.
