New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday is on Sunday 17 September. He will be 73 years old. He was born on 17 September 1950 in Vadnagar, Gujarat. BJP has prepared programs to celebrate the 73rd birthday of its leader and Prime Minister across the country. PM Modi, who became the Prime Minister of the country for the first time in 2014, has taken many major decisions in the country till now, which are considered historic.
Narendra Modi has taken many big decisions so far during his 9-year tenure as Prime Minister of India. These also include decisions like demonetization, triple ( tenure) talaq and lockdown. There have been tough and shocking decisions like implementing CAA and abolishing Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. 1. Demonetization surprised
PM Modi’s decision of demonetization to stop black money is considered to be the biggest and toughest decision for the country. Addressing the people of the country at 8 pm on 8 November 2016, he announced the demonetization of 500 and 1000 rupee notes. This day got recorded in history. He had given three big reasons behind demonetization, one was to attack black money, second was to fight corruption and third was to stop terrorist funding.
2. Law on Triple Talaq
Implementing strict law on triple talaq is counted among the second biggest and toughest decision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In his second term, PM Modi made a law regarding triple talaq and gave great relief to Muslim women. The Triple Talaq Bill was passed in Parliament on August 1, 2019.
3. Abolition of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir
The biggest decision taken by the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra included the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. By abolishing Article 370, the Modi government abolished the special status of Jammu and Kashmir and divided it into two parts and made it a Union Territory.
4. Old system changed by implementing GST
Bringing GST law has also been one of the major achievements of the Modi government. Prime Minister Narendra Modi implemented Goods and Services Tax across the country on July 1, 2017. Its objective was to implement a single tax system across the country. There was a huge uproar over this decision of the Modi government. The opposition has been calling this decision of the Modi government wrong. BJP has been calling it a historic decision of PM Modi.
5. CAA implemented in the entire country
CAA is also one of the big achievements of PM Modi. The Modi government had passed the Citizenship Amendment Act in Parliament in 2019. Its objective is to give Indian citizenship to minorities (Hindus, Sikhs, Christians, Parsis, Jains and Buddhists) coming from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan. After getting the approval from the President, it took the form of law and it was implemented across the country from January 10, 2020. The opposition has been opposing this.
