Tragic accident in Thane(thane)

Mumbai. A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in Balkum area of Thane  (thane) district of Maharashtra, where seven people died due to lift collapse. The dead include laborers who were coming down after working from a 40-storey building. After receiving information about the incident, the administration immediately reached the spot and relief work was started. The injured in the accident have been admitted to the nearby hospital. The deceased have been identified as 32-year-old Mahendra Chaupal, 21-year-old Rupesh Kumar Das, 47-year-old Haroon Shaikh, 35-year-old Mithilesh, 38-year-old Karidas and 21-year-old Sunil Kumar. The identity of the seventh deceased has not been established yet.

According to Thane Municipal Corporation officials, a total of seven laborers were in the lift and all of them have been declared dead. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has expressed his condolences to the families of those killed in the incident. Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis tweeted and said, ‘The lift accident in Thane is very sad. I express my deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this accident. I wish for the speedy recovery of the injured.

Let us tell you that last Sunday evening, the lift of a 40 storey building in Balkam area of Thane fell into the underground 3 storey basement. According to the police, this incident took place between 5.30 am and 6.45 am in a building named Runwal Complex in Thane city. Police said that waterproofing work was going on on the roof of the building. Police said that according to initial investigation, the accident occurred due to breakage of the lift rope. At the time of the accident, the injured employees were coming down from the lift. Officials said that further investigation is going on.
