Mushal Hussain Malik: Mushal Hussain Malik, wife of Kashmir’s separatist leader Yasin Malik, is being discussed loudly in Pakistan. Yasin Malik is currently in jail after being convicted in the NIA court in the Terror funding case. But, at this time the discussion is going on about his wife Mushal Hussain Malik. Mushal first met Yasin Malik in 2005 in Islamabad. Yasin had gone there to garner support for the Kashmiri separatist movement in a program.

Mushal also came to this program in Islamabad. She fell in love with Yasin, 20 years her senior, when he recited Faiz Ahmed Faiz’s poem “Hum Dekhenge”. In the year 2009, both of them got married.
Mushal is currently the chairperson of the Peace and Culture Organization of Pakistan. This organization of his claims to work for global peace and harmony and also protects culture and heritage.
On May 24 last year, the NIA court sentenced Yasin Malik to life imprisonment in the terror funding case. Yasin was sentenced to life imprisonment by the trial court under Section 121 and Section 17 (Terror funding) of the UAPA. On this, Yasin and Mushal’s 11-year-old daughter Sultana spoke against PM Modi while addressing the Parliament in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
