Vidya Sinha was born in the year 1947 in Mumbai. His father Rana Pratap and Nana Mohan Sinha were well-known filmmakers. Despite that, Vidya was not interested in films. Her mother died during the birth of Vidya. After that he was brought up in the maternal home only. There was an atmosphere of films all around in Nanihal, but despite that Vidya did not want to act. However, his mind was not even interested in studies.

Took part in Bombay beauty contest on the advice of aunt
One day one of her aunts advised her to participate in the Bombay Beauty Contest. She filled the form of beauty contest only on the advice of her aunt. Aunt explained to her that you are very beautiful, so you should participate in this contest. Vidya not only participated in the contest, but by winning it she became Miss Mumbai. What was it then, after this Vidya got lined up for all the modeling assignments. She modeled for many famous branches one after the other. Not only this, she got covered on the front page of all the magazines of Mumbai.

When compared to Jaya Bhaduri and Moushumi Chatterjee
When famous producer director Basu Chatterjee saw the front page of this magazine, he contacted Vidya to take her in his film ‘Rajnigandha’. By then Vidya had started taking some interest in films. He said yes to the film Rajnigandha. What was it then that with his performance, he made the film smell so much that he came to be known as ‘Rajnigandha’ all around. The title song of the film started being heard several times a day on the radio. After this, Vidya Sinha was compared to famous actresses of that time, Jaya Bhaduri and Moushumi Chatterjee.
Many films signed after ‘Rajnigandha’
After this, the film ‘Raja Kaka’ came in 1974, but it could not do much at the box office. Producer Basu Chatterjee made another film ‘Chhoti Si Baat’ with the star cast of ‘Rajnigandha’ Vidya and Amol Palekar. Vidya gave a great performance in this film and dominated the box office. After this Vidya was signed films one after the other and her fan following kept on increasing. His film ‘Shakti’, which came in 1970 with Sanjeev Kumar and Shashi Kapoor, was also loved by the audience.

how was the first marriage
Vidya had fallen in love with Venkateswaran Iyer, a South Indian Brahmin boy living in her neighborhood at an early age. She married Venkateswaran in 1968 as soon as she became an adult. It was only on the advice of her husband that she entered films and signed the film ‘Rajnigandha’. In the year 1989, he adopted a girl child named ‘Janvi’. Everything was going well that suddenly a storm came in Vidya’s life. In 1996, Vidya’s husband died due to illness. After that a mountain of sorrows broke down on her, although with time her wounds healed and she started focusing on her daughter’s upbringing.
Second marriage at the age of 54
Four years after her husband’s death, she met Netaji Bhimrao Salokhe, an Indian-origin businessman from Australia. Her trust in Bhimrao was great, so at the age of 54, she married him for the second time in the year 2001 and shifted to Sydney, Australia with her daughter, but this proved to be the biggest mistake of her life. Actually, it came to know that Bhimrao had married Vidya in greed of her money.
Resumed work at the behest of daughter
It is said that Bhimrao constantly demanded money from Vidya and misbehaved with her, which Vidya complained to the police in the year 2009. After this Vidya shifted to India. After separating from her husband, she felt very lonely and her health also started deteriorating. However, during this time daughter Janvi explained to him that he should work in films again. After this Vidya handled herself and started working in TV serials. ‘Kavyanjali’, ‘Neem Neem Shahad Shahad’, ‘Ishq Ka Rang Safed’, ‘Bahurani’, ‘Qubool Hai’ and ‘Kulfi Kumar Bajewala’ were some of his special TV shows, in which he acted brilliantly.

However, in the meanwhile his health continued to decline. One day he had to be admitted to a hospital in Juhu. Here the doctors told that she is suffering from lung disease. She was kept on ventilator for 6 days and finally on August 15, 2019, she said goodbye to the world.
