In such a situation, questions have started to arise that a month ago, where the total number of new cases of Kovid-19 infection in the country remained within 100, then why there was such a sudden increase in it. Is the new phase of Corona going to start once again? ? In view of this apprehension, the central government has warned the states to remain alert.

Symptoms of H3N2 and Corona virus are similar
Maharashtra, Kerala, Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Delhi have reported the maximum number of cases of corona virus infection in the country. According to experts, meanwhile the influenza virus named H3N2 has knocked and the most difficult thing is that the symptoms of H3N2 and corona virus are similar. In such a situation, it is difficult to identify both without investigation.

Dr. Sunila Garg, a member of the Lancet Commission, says, “Meanwhile, it is seen that a patient is being admitted to the hospital and if his symptoms are similar to H3N2, then he is found to be Kovid positive in the investigation.” The measures to avoid both these infections are the same and it is necessary to check and timely treatment when symptoms appear.

ICMR issued new guidelines
Meanwhile, ICMR has made changes in the clinical guidelines regarding the treatment of patients infected with the corona virus. In this, it is advised not to give medicines like Lopinavir Ritonavir, HCQ, Ivermectin, Neutralizing Monoclonal Antibody, Plasma, Molnupiravir, Favipiravir, Azithromycin and Doxycycline.

The sublineage XBB.1.16 of Omicrom variant is believed to be responsible for this sudden increase in cases of corona virus infection. It has been seen that a new variant has been detected in the case detected in Japan. That’s why the central government has asked the states to fix their surveillance immediately.
