Nagpur: An explosion took place in an explosives manufacturing factory near Nagpur city of Maharashtra on Thursday. At least five people (5 people) died due to the explosion in the factory, while five people were injured. Giving information about the incident, the police said that the incident took place at Chamundi Explosives Private Limited in Dhamna village under Hingna police station area, about 25 km from Nagpur. A local police officer said that the explosion took place at around 1:00 pm when the workers were packing explosive material. He said that detailed information in this regard could not be obtained yet.

Nagpur Police Commissioner Ravinder Singhal said, “About 4-5 people died in this incident, including 4 women. Our investigation is going on. Our team, crime branch and senior officers are present at the spot, action is being taken.”

Explosion in chemical factory in Thane

Earlier, a fire broke out in a closed chemical factory in Dombivali area of ​​Thane district of Maharashtra on Wednesday morning. Deepak Nikam, head of the disaster management cell of Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation, said that there was also an explosion in the unit. The official said that thick smoke coming out of the unit could be seen from a distance. The unit is located near Amudan Chemicals, where 10 people were killed and more than 60 people were injured in a massive explosion on May 23.
