300 bed hospital to be built in Ayodhya, first installment of Rs. 48 crore released

Ayodhya. The Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has taken a significant step towards expanding healthcare services in Ayodhya. Rs 48 crore has been released as the first installment for the construction of a 300-bed super specialty hospital in the city through EPC mode. The hospital is proposed on Ayodhya’s Rampath and its construction will cost Rs 16,371.70 lakh on two acres of land. Under this project, residences for doctors will also be built, which will help in improving healthcare services further.
Ayodhya is world famous for its religious and historical importance. Now it is moving towards progress in the field of health services as well. This initiative of the Yogi government will provide high level medical facilities not only to the residents of Ayodhya but also to the people of the surrounding areas. Enthusiasm is being seen among the local people about this project, as it will play an important role in improving their standard of living. Umesh Chandra, Executive Engineer of Construction Block 2 of PWD, said that the action plan for construction has been prepared. This 300-bed super specialty hospital will be equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment and facilities, which will provide treatment in various specialties. The hospital will be constructed at the place of Sitapur Eye Hospital located on Rampath. This place has been selected so that it can be easily accessible to more and more people. This hospital will be operated at a distance of about 2 km from Ram Mandir and Ayodhya Dham railway station, while at a distance of 10 km from the airport and bus stand.
Currently, there is a lack of high-level medical facilities in Ayodhya and its surrounding areas. Due to this, people have to turn to Lucknow or other big cities for the treatment of serious diseases. With the construction of this super specialty hospital, expert medical services will be available at the local level, which will save both time and money of the people. EPC mode means Engineering, Procurement and Construction. This is a contract model in which a contractor takes responsibility for the entire project. In this, the contractor takes the risk of completing the work within time and budget. This model is convenient for the project owner, because there is communication with the same contractor. Generally, all projects are running on EPC mode at this time. In this, work has to be done within the deadline.
